And the Lord God said, "It is not good for man to be alone....."

Becky was the first of my siblings to marry, our first wedding in the family!

The wedding was held in Pa, where Bill was from. It also worked out well since Becky and my friends in Pa were able to do a lot of the work in putting on the wedding. They did a beautiful job too............Sarah, Karen, and Abigail are getting very experienced at wedding planning.

The only downside to it being in Pa is that it is 12 hours from SC! Joshua and I did the trip in two parts. Thursday night we drove up to Lynchburg, and spent the night with my brother, Cephas. Sadly very little sleeping got done that night, too much catching up to do, we hadn't seen each other in weeks! The next day, along with Cephas, we made the trek up north, an interesting trip to say the least, violent storms, driving in the middle of a military convoy (we wondered if we were going to war? If so we were headed in the wrong direction!). Finally arrived safely, just in time for the delicious rehearsal dinner of grilled shrimp, shish kabobs, filet mignon, salad, croissants, fruit, chocolate peanut butter torte, whipped cream, and chocolates. After the rehearsal, ( where my brothers did the best they could to make the bridal party laugh), we spent the night with friends.

Saturday morning was fun and busy. Sarah made us a special breakfast of eggs, sausage, scrapple, toast, and muffins, we talked, Sarah's cat had kittens (!), Becky got her hair done, etc, etc. All the usual before wedding flurry of activity...........

The ceremony was nice, all went according to plan, the children attendants were so cute, and behaved well, and everyone was happy! Lots of joy.......

After the wedding, and the photo session, was a lovely reception, I really enjoyed the opportunity to catch up with friends and relatives, and to meet Bill's family. The food was good too:-)

Then were all the goodbyes, and time for the 12 hour drive home..........We brought Cephas back with us since he wanted to visit our church again. The only way to stay awake on a long trip after midnight is coke, coffee, chocolate, and lots of laughing:-). We arrived back at home at 2:00, after a very adventurous weekend.

There is a lot of standing around and waiting at a wedding photo session......

This is my favorite of the wedding pictures!

"Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it."
Isaiah 55:6,8-1
