Apple Picking At Sky Top Orchard

On Tuesday several ladies from church, and a number of the children, got together for a day of apple picking! We drove up into the beautiful mountains of North Carolina to Sky Top Orchard, and had a fun day together that included apple picking (and eating), cider, doughnuts, lots of walking, talking, a petting zoo, and a hayride. A fun day for everyone.....

Sorting through the "seconds". Being a bargain

hunter I was happy to get a bushel of seconds at half price!

Juanita and Meghan also stocked up on seconds,

here we are discussing applesauce.

Kerah and Daniel.

Daniel and I. I had to have a baby picture:-)

Sammy didn't come on this trip....

Daniel and Juanita.

Kerah and Daniel......so are you getting

the idea this guy was popular....?!

Me, Daniel, Juanita, and Susannah.

Apples!

Hannah, you are actually supposed to put

apples in it..........

Enjoying an apple, there is nothing like an apple just

off the tree - delicious!

What next?

Heading to the petting zoo....

Daniel made a new friend.

The goat was so patient with the children....

The children had a wonderful time playing.

Heading back, we walked miles, mostly uphill.....

Last of all the Moms and children went on a hayride.

The rest of us relaxed with cider:-)

The end of a busy, fun day!

"Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it."
Isaiah 55:6,8-1
