The Simple Woman's Daybook.....

Would you like to linger on the simple things...then join me and many others in taking a little look into the day plans and thoughts of those who are focusing on simplicity...beauty of the 'everyday moments'

I got this from a friend's blog.......reminds me of one of those facebook notes/quizzes!

Outside my window - cold, clear, beautiful fall day. The sky is bright blue, leaves are falling....

I am thinking of......lunch, and all I need to get done this afternoon.

I am thankful for - the Lord, my friends, my church, my family, lots of things.......

From the kitchen - applesauce slowly cooking.

I am wearing - a pink shirt and denim skirt, no shoes (I know it is kind of cold to go barefoot, but I put off wearing shoes as long as possible!)

I am remembering - our communion season this past Lord's day.

Pondering........the words of the Psalm 130, "I wait for God, my soul doth wait, my hope is in His word....", and the sermon I just listened to on that Psalm, "Why God Makes Us Wait" , preached by David Murray. Click here to listen to the sermon.

I am creating.......applesauce, hard boiled eggs, spaghetti sauce, a grocery list........and letters, I wrote to my parents and aunt this morning.

I am going to.......vacuum, put clean sheets on beds, fold laundry, cook dinner.....

I am reading - Esther, Romans, The Psalms, and "Let Me Be A Woman" by Elizabeth Elliot.

I am hoping ........for things I would rather not talk about here.....

I am hearing........Psalm 71, "And I with expectation will hope continually......" playing on a Cd.

Around the house.......I am alone, so it is peaceful and quiet.

One of my favorite things........is reading a good book.

I am looking forward to............my sister's visit this week.

A few plans for the rest of the week..........babysitting tonight, working at the Es tomorrow, church tomorrow night, grocery shopping, housecleaning Thur, getting ready for, and enjoying company Fri, church picnic/Psalm sing on Sat.

A picture to end with.....

Here is a link to Peggy's blog, where this came from!

"Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it."
Isaiah 55:6,8-1
