Don't Do It....

So if you are planning to travel on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving I have just three words for you.......Don't. Do.It. We left our house at 4:30, to travel to my sister's house in Dayton, Tennessee, and for the first hour or so I am sure I could have walked faster than the car was moving! It seemed to take forever to just get out of South Carolina. Then came Atlanta......now that was a bit scary, bumper to bumper traffic, all moving at about 80 miles per hour, weaving in and out........it made Greenville look like a small town. We breathed a sigh of relief when we were finally past all the interchanges, finally made all the right turns, that's a story in itself, lol! Once we were headed towards Chattanooga traffic thinned out, and we safely arrived at 11:45. Moral of the story, get your relatives to come to YOUR house, no travel:-)
In all seriousness we are glad to be spending Thanksgiving with family,( and my goats:-), watch for more on our holiday coming later.....Happy Thanksgiving ya'll!

  1. But isn't it only fair to take turns traveling among the relatives? :-) Anyway, I'm glad you all made it there in one piece and had a good visit! :-)

"Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it."
Isaiah 55:6,8-1
