The Simple Woman's Daybook

For Today

Outside my window... sunny and not too cold. After all the days in the past weeks where we layered up to keep warm, I am thankful for more seasonable temperatures!

I am thinking... about what I wrote last week, that all my plans were "Lord willing" and could change, and how true that was! On Tuesday I was asked to help out my friends and have been very busy with that ever since. I'm also thinking that it is good to be useful and needed.

I am thankful for... that the Lord has all things in control. For the church and good friends He has given me.

I am wearing... a denim skirt and dark red shirt.

I am remembering.......our sermons and communion season yesterday.

I am going
... to cook some meals for my brothers this morning, and edit the pictures on my camera, then head back to the Es this afternoon.

I am currently reading
... my Bible, "Heaven On Earth" by Thomas Brooks, and Matthew Henry's Commentary.

I am hoping.....that I can give my fears and desires to God, and stop worrying...

On my mind... my family up in Virginia.

Pondering these words....."Is any thing too hard for the Lord?" Genesis 18:14

From the kitchen.......beans cooking, and bread dough rising ,as soon as I finish here I am going to put together some meals for my brothers.

Listening to.....the sound of the dryer.

Around the house .....all the normal work that needs to be done to keep a big family going, cooking, cleaning, laundry, schoolwork, did I mention laundry?!

Plans for this week......helping out wherever I am night Tue, church Wed, marriage class Friday, I don't know what else......whatever God has planned for my week, I'm afraid to say too much - when I do things always change:-)

One of my favorite things......a good conversation with a friend.

From my picture journal - here is a picture of my newest little friend, Hannah. I couldn't resist snapping this picture of her as we all gathered for family worship on Friday night.

Intense Debate Comments

"Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it."
Isaiah 55:6,8-1
