A Psalm for the Lord's Day....

"Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.

But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away

Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.

For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish."

Psalm 1

Most of you all know I love the Psalms, they are comforting, and encouraging, and it seems no matter what you are going through there is a Psalm that applies to the situation. As John Calvin said, "They are the anatomy of the soul." Anyway I thought it would be nice to share my reading and try to post a Psalm every week (of course I'll have to break up some of the longer ones!). I hope you all have a blessed Lord's day!

  1. I have much the same struggles with FB, I stopped for awhile and then was asked to start again and post 'encouraging' words. We can 'give up' such opportunities for the 'evil' around us or we can continue to be 'light' ! I hope to make a difference and not just 'give up' yet there may come a time when the Lord shows me that is the best path to follow. Until then we can be 'light' and give the Word to those seeking. YOU never know but that God will use uour FB to reach one heart. Pray about it, that is what I do. I cringe at some of the 'foul' things on FB too! Take your marching orders from the lover of your soul! Hugs, Sherry

"Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it."
Isaiah 55:6,8-1
