My Daybook

For Today - Monday, April 12th

Outside my window.......
pollen! I'm told this is the worst allergy season South Carolina has experienced in years....however all the new growth and flowers are so pretty!

I am thinking........I can't tell you how many times a day I hear the words, "Miss Stefanie, can I please have a cup of water?" That brought this verse to mind! :-) "And whosoever shall give to drink unto one of these little ones a cup of cold water.. verily I say unto you, he shall in no wise lose his reward." Matthew 10:42

I am thankful for.....that I have such good friends. I'm very blessed!

I am wearing.....a Virginia t shirt and jean skirt.

Remembering..... a good conversation I had with one of my friends last week about God's providence, tracing all the ways He has worked in my life over the past year, how He has provided.

Listening to.......quiet....I'm not feeling well and haven't started any work yet:-(

I am going... to take a walk, then make breakfast, I'll be working at the Es today.

I am currently reading...... my Bible, Matthew Henry's Commentary on Leviticus, and a couple other things, A Heart Aflame by John Calvin, and The Mystery Of Providence by John Flavel.

I am hoping... that the Lord will answer my prayers, that I can please Him.

On my mind......our upcoming Communion season.

Noticing that......that we are always waiting for something....

Pondering these words...."For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also." Luke 12:34. I'm thinking about yesterday's sermon on the passage in Luke 12 about not worrying, but especially about the question Pastor brought up in the point on this verse. Where are our hearts? A hard question which we had good lunchtime conversation about.

From the kitchen.....haven't discussed meals yet.

Around the house....lots to be done, cooking, laundry, schoolwork, and more.

One of my favorite things~my quiet time in the morning with my Bible and a cup of coffee.

A few plans for the rest of the week..... I don't think we have anything special planned for this week so maybe I can use the "extra time" to catch up on my letter writing. I'll be at the Es on all the usual days, movie night with Jenny on Tue, church on Wed, shopping on Thursday, and our communion preparatory service on Saturday evening.

From my picture journal~ a picture of the blooming azaleas in our front yard at home. So pretty - I love flowers!

Intense Debate Comments

"Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it."
Isaiah 55:6,8-1
