My Daybook

 For Today - May 10th

Outside my window......Lynchburg, VA. It feels strange to be back after so long.

I am thinking......about these verses that I read on Saturday..."...in quietness and in confidence shall be your strength: And therefore will the LORD wait, that he may be gracious unto you, and therefore will he be exalted, that he may have mercy upon you: for the LORD is a God of judgment: blessed are all they that wait for him. For the people shall dwell in Zion at Jerusalem: thou shalt weep no more: he will be very gracious unto thee at the voice of thy cry; when he shall hear it, he will answer thee. And though the Lord give you the bread of adversity, and the water of affliction, yet shall not thy teachers be removed into a corner any more, but thine eyes shall see thy teachers: And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left." Isaiah 30: 15. 18-21

I am thankful for....that God has given me this week with family and friends. And for the friends and family that made it possible.

I am wearing.....a denim skirt and green shirt. My goat necklace, bare feet, and hair in a pony tail....

Remembering.....the weekend, spending time with family, the wedding, driving up to Virginia....it was so busy, but a special time.

Listening to.......Adri talking to me:-)

I am going.....to miss my South Carolina family this week.

I am currently reading.....my Bible, Matthew Henry's commentary on Numbers, A Lifting Up For The Downcast by William Bridge, and Experiencing God's Presence by Matthew Henry.

I am hoping...to get to see some people who are very dear to me this week.

On my mind.....all the things I want to do this week...

Noticing.....how quiet a house with no children is.

Pondering these words..."Consider the work of God: for who can make that straight, which he hath made crooked? In the day of prosperity be joyful, but in the day of adversity consider: God also hath set the one over against the other, to the end that man should find nothing after him" Ecclesiastes 7:13-14

From the kitchen.....I don't know, I'm not in charge of the cooking this week!

Around the house.....actually I am in an apartment. The washer is running, Adri is working on her list for the day, it's very quiet.....

One of my favorite things~shopping in thrift stores! Adri and I plan on doing that this week:-)

A few plans for the rest of the week....I'm spending the week in Lynchburg, Va with Caleb and Adri.We are going to shop today, then head up to Culpeper tomorrow to have lunch with friends, we're doing shopping in my fave Lynchburg stores, I've promised to make Caleb sticky buns, we're going to watch the Lord Of The Rings, and plenty more..... and I'll take the train home on Friday night. Saturday will hopefully include some sleep, but also laundry, catching up at home, then on the Lord's day everything will go back to a normal schedule and I'll get to see all my friends:-)

From my picture journal~ what I saw yesterday....

Intense Debate Comments

"Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it."
Isaiah 55:6,8-1
