I'm home....

I'm home after a wonderful week at the FCC Family Conference! It was such a time of blessing to be surrounded by like minded people who love the Lord and are seeking to follow Him. Over the course of the week I felt overwhelmed by how blessed we were to be a part of this church, and to have these pastors to teach us. The Lord has given us so much! The sermons were wonderful, the Psalm singing absolutely beautiful, and times of fellowship with friends we rarely get to see were so special. Looking back there are so many good memories, talking and laughing, playing cards and eating brownies at 1 in the morning:-), curling up with a book from the book table during the quiet hours of the afternoon, singing Psalms on the porch in the evenings, laughing and talking at the dinner table....even having a break from cell phones, internet, and television was good, in many ways it felt like we were in a different world:-)

Lord willing soon I will be posting some pictures, and hopefully a slide show of tons of pictures from the week that a friend created. For now though I want to share the sermon that was the highlight of the week for me, "A Challenge To Young People" preached by Pastor McCurley. It was excellent -- I hope you can all listen to it!

"Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it."
Isaiah 55:6,8-1
