The earth her fruit shall yield...

On Saturday I went grape harvesting with the Es. Their friends let us glean after the machines had gone through, and working together we were able to gather about 16 gallons of scuppernongs and muskadines, not counting what we ate as we picked...;-). It was fun - I'd never picked grapes before!

The next day they were bottled and put underground where over the next few months they'll turn into wine. Expect more pictures a few months from now when they come out of the ground and we have our wine.....

  2. Sounds like fun. The grapes look delicious. :-)

BTW, today I bought a black crocheted head scarf, like you did a post on a little while ago, at Martin's. It was on sale and only cost $2.62 instead of the normal $3.29. :-)

"Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it."
Isaiah 55:6,8-1
