Psalm videos

I had some free time with my computer this evening so went hunting on You Tube for some new Psalm videos. Here are a couple I came across and enjoyed. If you go to their channels, I think they have more available.

Some of my favorite verses to one of my favorite tunes, Wiltshire.

We often sing Psalm 131 to this tune.

I enjoyed the way they sang this one in parts. I believe these last two were made in Australia.

  1. Stefanie, are these all from the Scottish Psalter? A lot of Youtube videos of psalm singing don't clarify which psalter they are using. I know I could just listen and find out, but if I watch too many, we exceed our download limit and the internet slows to a crawl. :)

  2. Oh, I know all about download limits - you have my sympathy! Thankfully I don't have to deal with that in my brother's house.
The top one, put out by the PRC in Charlotte is the Scottish Psalter - they have put out a number of others - all SP.
Both of the ones above being sung by the young people, are SP, but they have some other Psalm videos from a version I don't recognize.
I'm a Scottish Psalter fan too, been singing from it since I was 11 and have most of it memorized. I think I'd have a hard time adjusting to a different version.

Intense Debate Comments

"Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it."
Isaiah 55:6,8-1
