Today I'm thankful for Friday movie nights with the Es. I usually make pizzas and we gather for a movie and have fun together:-) Last night was March of the Penguins, one I'd never seen. It was beautiful and incredible to see the self denial and perseverance of the penguins, to the point of sometimes pressing on by crawling on their bellies, going without eating for months, and standing in deathly freezing wind to protect their eggs and babies. We could all learn a lot from them such as the need to stick together for survival, persevering without grumbling, and love and protection for children. The last made me sad, watching how devoted they were to the care of their babies - yet we see some people rejecting their own children, not wanting them. I recommend this one if you haven't seen it!
"Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it." Isaiah 55:6,8-1
