Thanksgiving memories...

How did it get to be Friday already? It seems like the week flew by and tonight, Lord willing, I'll be back on the train, this time heading home to SC. But before I go, here are a few pictures from my Thanksgiving - thanks to Adri for taking them. She documented the day for her sister who is now living in Ireland, and I took advantage of her photography:-). We had a very nice day as you can probably tell.....

Caleb made us biscuits and sausage for breakfast.
I'm not sure I should publicly admit to doing this on my blog....but Adri and I painted their dog Betty's nails pink.  You never know what the two of us are going to get up to, but she enjoyed it - she's a girly dog - it gave us some good laughs, and I promise, it's a one time thing:-) I keep threatening to kidnap Betty and bring her back to SC with me. She's the sweetest, funniest little dog:-)

Mrs. G  (one of my adopted moms:-) and I cooking - she, Adri, and I cooked all morning!

Onions for the onion casserole which was my contribution to the meal.

Pumpkin and apple pies.

We snacked on pumpkin bread, French bread, and brie while we worked.

I'm watching the guys inject the turkeys to fry them.

One of the three turkys going into boiling oil. These are the best turkeys you will ever eat!

Caleb carving turkey.
We posed for some pictures before we ate. The G family. I love these people:-)

CalAdri. Love them too!

Caleb, Adri, and I.

I love this fun picture of Caleb and I being silly:-)

Gathered around the table - thankful for so many blessings.

A feast....

"Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it."
Isaiah 55:6,8-1
