Youngster's Cake recipe

I was craving this old family favorite today so baked it up for dessert. Hey, it has oats, peanut butter, and milk in it....practically a healthy cake :-)

Youngster's Cake
1/3 c butter
2/3 peanutbutter
1 1/2 c brown sugar
2 eggs
1 1/2 c flour
1 tsp b powder
1 c milk
1 c oats
1 c chocolate chips

Beat together the fats, sugar and eggs. Stir in dry ingredients and milk, mix well. Fold in chocolate chips. Pour in a greased 13x9 pan and bake at 350 for 30 minutes.

For the icing combine - 1/2 c peanut butter and 1/3 c milk in a saucepan, cook over medium heat until smooth and well blended. Stir in 1/2 c brown sugar, 1 1/3 c coconut, and if desired (we always do, but the original recipe does not call for this) add another 1 c chocolate chips. Stir over low heat till chips are melted. Then spread over warm cake. Broil until icing becomes bubbly. Delicious:-)

"Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it."
Isaiah 55:6,8-1
